Drop-Off/ Pick-Up:
Please help ensure a quick and smooth morning drop-off for everyone by making sure your children have all their belongings ready to go before you pull up for drop-off. Unloading should be a very quick process. Please also be aware of neighbors’ driveways and leave them clear. We have heard from some neighbors who have not been able to access their driveways during our busy times. Thank you for your help.

Giving Tree:
Every year, Liberty School participates in a program called The Giving Tree. This program gives presents to families and children who may otherwise not receive any. Once again, Liberty has partnered with A Christmas for Kids and the Liberty School Foundation to help provide a Happy Holiday to all in-need families in our Liberty community.
How you can help:

o PICK A TAG FROM THE GIVING TREE: Choose a gift tag from the tree. Purchase the item(s) listed. Wrap the item(s). Attach the tag to your present. Please include a gift receipt. Return your gift to the office by Friday, December 6, 2024.

o MAKE A CASH DONATION: Cash or checks made out to The Liberty School Foundation/ Giving Tree can be given to Mrs. Grant in the office.
The holidays can be a difficult and stressful time for families financially. Please consider donating an item to this worthwhile cause. Students who wish to pick a tag from the tree are asked to have an adult present.
Happy Holidays!

• Donation Drive:
We are excited to announce our upcoming Donation Drive on December 5 and 6! Once again, we will be partnering with United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay to collect much-needed items for a great cause. The donation van will be parked outside the Multi and will be accepting donations (clothes, housewares, shoes, small furniture, and bikes) from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on both days. Please consider donating and supporting this wonderful initiative! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jessica Somoff at [email protected].

Parent/ Teacher Conferences:
Parent/ Teacher Conferences will be held from November 20- December 4. There will be early dismissal on these days at 12:10 pm for 1st through 6th grades and 11:45 dismissal for TK and Kindergarteners. Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you to understand your child’s educational growth and progress and communicate your questions or concerns.

Book Fair:
The Book Fair is back and just in time for the holidays! Monday, December 2nd - Friday, December 6th. The fair will be open daily from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm. Students will have a chance to come and preview the book selection with their classes on Monday morning. Cash, credit cards and eWallets accepted. Visit our fair’s homepage at:
Liberty Book Fair to set up your eWallet today. If you have an eWallet balance from a previous fair, please keep an eye out for an email directly from Scholastic in the next week or so with details on how to get your money carried over.

Holiday Shop:
We are getting ready to get the ball rolling on our annual Holiday Shop. The Holiday Shop is an opportunity for our children to shop for members of their immediate family for the holidays. Students purchase new and gently used items for a small fee for their family. Our helpers then wrap the presents for the child to take home. The children love to shop and also learn about the spirit of giving. We are asking for any new items you may be able to donate for moms, dads, brothers, sisters, grandparents, etc. Simple things such as a sticker pack, sewing kit, a screwdriver, nail polish, or things of this nature are appreciated. We can also accept a financial donation to purchase these items. We are not asking for anything perishable, stuffed animals, clothing or books. When accepting items, we cannot take things that kids are unable to buy such as knives, toy guns, explicit items, personal items that are not factory sealed (makeup, lotions, perfumes, shaving items, etc.), hats books, or items that are not “re-giftable” (items that are not in like new condition or new condition, dirty, odor present, or stained). We will have donation drop-offs on 12/6, 12/9, 12/10, 12/11, 12/12, and 12/13.

• Thanksgiving Break:
Liberty School will be closed for students from November 25th through November 29th. Daycare will be open November 25th and 26th, with regular hours from 7 am to 6 pm. Please enjoy a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday.
