Liberty school bellWalk-A-Thon:
Our annual Walk-A-Thon will be Friday, October 11th from 12-6 pm. The theme this year is Happy Camper. Students will raise money for Liberty School by asking family, friends, neighbors and other community members to sponsor them to walk around the Liberty School track on Walk-A-Thon day. Here are some things you need to know:
o Remember, this is the biggest fundraiser for the Liberty Foundation and every dollar counts.
o All pledge sheets must be signed and turned in by Friday, October 4th.
o Corporate/ Family Sponsorship Forms- Due Monday, September 30th.
o Dinner will be available on a pre-order basis. Extra forms are available in the office.
o Volunteers are needed to make this event a success.
o Foundation has added an additional way to collect pledges. If you would like to collect pledges electronically, follow the links:

Staff Emergency Preparedness Day:
This Friday, September 20th is a staff development day for employees. The school will be closed for students.

Friends of the Petaluma River:
Friends of the Petaluma River is hosting their annual Fall Petaluma Trash Cleanup on California Coastal Cleanup Day, Saturday, September 21st, in downtown Petaluma. They are trying to gather volunteers to remove trash and debris from the watershed. The post-cleanup celebration will include live music, a BBQ, and a raffle for participants, in order to show their appreciation for the volunteer efforts.
