Mornings –
If your child is not going to morning daycare/ getting breakfast, they should not be dropped off until 8:00. If you arrive before 8:00, please wait in the car until the Morning Greeters start opening doors at 8:00.

Breakfast/Lunch Program –
If your child orders breakfast or lunch, they need to come and pick up their meals. There have been quite a few students who have not been coming to pick them up, especially at breakfast. Please keep track of which days your child is signed up for. Breakfast is served from 7:50 to 8:10, so students should come to the window during that time. We get reimbursed for a portion of the meals, but only if the students pick them up. As a reminder, please order breakfasts and/ or lunches by the Monday before the week you want the food for your child. So, if you are interested in ordering food for the week of September 14th, your order needs to be in by 8:15 am on Tuesday, September 8th, since we have a Monday holiday. You can order for the whole month if you’d like. Menus are available for pickup at the office and are on the website.

Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-Up Reminders-
For the safety of all children, please review:
o Please be courteous to our neighbors on Liberty School Road. Do not block their driveways.
o Students dropped off before 8:00 and picked up after 2:45 for primary and 3:15 for upper grades will be sent to daycare.
o Please have children ready with jackets and backpacks when you pull up for drop-off.
o Remember to pull up to the greeter when dropping off or picking up. Students should not get out of the car before arriving at the greeter.
o Students should use the passenger side to get into and out of cars.
o Please do not park in the center aisle and walk with children across the drive loop. If you are parking, use the spots by the sidewalk.
o Please do not use the back of the school to drop off or pick up students.
o Please walk on the outside of the driveway loop (do not walk behind cars).
o Please do not cross through traffic unless you use the crosswalk in front of the multi-use room.

Labor Day –
There is no school on Monday, September 7th.

Staff Emergency Preparedness Day:
Friday, September 25th, is a staff development day for employees. The school will be closed for students.

Beginning of the Year Documents-
Please remember to go to the SchoolWise parent portal on our website to complete your beginning-of-year documents right away. They are past due, and it is important that we have accurate information for student safety and in case of an emergency.

Family Fun Night-
What a great start to the school year! We truly couldn’t have kicked things off without our amazing Family Fun Night volunteers!
From helping behind the scenes to jumping in wherever needed, your time, energy, and willingness to help made such a difference. It takes a village to make these events happen, and we are so grateful for everyone who showed up and helped make the night such a big success.
We also want to give a huge shout-out to the incredible businesses and people who helped make the night extra delicious, creative, and FUN!
Thank you to Lydia Hansen for generously donating the delicious Strauss ice cream our teachers served up, Mombo’s Pizza for keeping everyone well-fed with their amazing pizzas, and Sol Azteca for bringing the tacos and burritos that were a total hit! A big thank you to Creative Arts Ukiah for bringing the cutest hat bar and letting everyone get creative with their own custom creations, and to Wowzers for the awesome airbrush tattoos that had the kids showing off their new designs all night!
And of course, we have to give a big shoutout to our in-house DJ extraordinaire, Dave Adams, for keeping the music going for those of us who weren’t grooving to Silent Disco.
Another special shoutout to our amazing committee members: Kayla Todd, Jackie Neuman, Jackie Shepherd, Kristin Gordiejew, and Carolyn Mullan. Thank you for helping us out alllllll night long! We also want to thank our awesome T-shirt sales ladies, Jenni McIsaac and Ashley Azevedo, for helping with sales and making sure everyone could take home a little piece of Liberty swag. And finally, to Jen Robfogel, who always helps behind the scenes, taking pictures and keeping everyone updated on Social Media. We can’t thank you enough!
There were so many incredible volunteers who jumped in and helped make the night happen, and we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without giving them a big shout-out, so here it goes…
